Cory - Medium brown in color. Very smooth and oily. The wrapper is firm but the cigar itself is light in the hands.
Chris - Firm cigar. More so at the cap. Dark brown almost matte finish wrapper. Mildly smooth. Touch of texture
Cory - Slight tight draw. Decent output of smoke per each draw. incredibly even burn
Chris - Medium gray ash. 2-3 puffer. Even burn.
Cory - Real talk. The first 3rd of this cigar had me very disinterested. The pepper on the tongue is overwhelming and there aren't any other forward flavors to really help balance it out. The cigar does balance out a bit at the halfway point, introducing a slight creaminess, but it doesn't adjust in a way that makes this cigar particularly good. As someone who always looks forward to smoking an Aganorsa cigar, the Rare Leaf Reserve has certainly fallen short of my expectations. I guess you cant win them all, especially at a $11.00 price point.
Chris - Apparently my view of this review is "rare". LOL Cory seemed to have a certain lack of love for it while I found it very much enjoyable! It made the price worth it, and the construction, burn, and flavors were very attentive, thoughtful, and balanced and honestly? I probably will smoke it again.
