Zero blemishes. The structure is amazing. Perfect symmetry. Slightly toothy and oily. Espresso in color. It appears more oscuro than maduro.
Good draw matched with good smoke production. Great consistency. Passed the 5 minutes hold test
Decent smoke to try
Admittedly it has been a while since I have enjoyed a Crux. I have always liked the brand and what they produce, so it was nice to get back to enjoying one of their cigars. The Epicure Maduro is the first cigar created by Crux that didn't utilize the tobacco and talents of Plasencia and it is fairly obvious once you start smoking it. This blend give you a little of everything but nothing that really creates a wow factor. For the most part it is pretty linear. At $11.50, this oversized donger is in my opinion a little over priced for what you get. I will also add an element of caution too in that I don't think this cigar would be enjoyed to the highest degree by a novice smoker. All things considered though (including excellent construction and burn), this is a pretty decent cigar.
