The Wise man maduro as of recent is one of the highest rated cigars in the industry, and leave it to us to review it late in the game! Consistently making reputable publication’s TOP 10, I felt is necessary to chime in on this cigar after the ash settled a bit.

This stick is superbly built, and no doubt that kind of construction perfection is as a result of cigar guru Nick Melillo’s background. There is no way he would ever put out something that was less than, and the Wise Man maduro is proof of that.

The cigar smoked like a dream. No obstacles or challenges. I simply got to be at peace with the smoking experience and never throughout the process was I worried about  any anticipated issues. The draw was full with excellent smoke production as well. It really doesn’t get any better than this cigar in terms of burn.

The flavor is very bold and spicy to begin, which personally I could take or leave. The balance really comes in after about the first inch when all of the pronounced flavors start to meld into one another in a rousing way. The spice never leaves but certainly compliments the sweet and bitter flavors that can be quickly identified in this cigar. It’s pure savoriness to the end. The cigar was made to make a statement and it does that better than most on the market. Interestingly enough this isn’t my favorite vitola for this cigar. Typically a 46 ring gauge is right in my wheelhouse, however the flavor balance is even better in the robusto in my opinion.

Coming in at roughly $9.75 per smoke, this is a damn good value given my personal breakdown and all of the accolades it has received by many in the industry.
