The Breakdown
For us it has been hard to really get excited about specific A.J. branded cigars these days. They have been spending a lot of time “collaborating” with other brands, and it makes you wonder how much effort they are putting into their own cigars. Unfortunately this cigar had all the makings to be great but just fell a bit short of expectation. It wasn’t a bad cigar but it didn’t make a statement either. A.J. is highly regarded in our eyes so naturally we were yearning for something more but we just didn't get it. From construction, to burn, to flavor this cigar ended up being just “so so”. It doesn’t command too high of a price coming in at $9.00 so for those die hard A.J. fans, this one would be worth exploring. For us, it just didn’t hit the mark.
