The Breakdown
A staple in the Warped lineup the La Hacienda is undoubtedly one of the most popular cigars they produce. The name La Hacienda has a literal translation of “The Estate”.. Not sure what the derived meaning is, but we love the way it rolls of the tongue. This cigar is quite appealing. Both samples smoked had a really nice, light marbling to them and no visible production flaws to speak of. The burn experience differed on both as one produced and very even and consistent burn coupled with a full effortless draw, and the other had some minor running and produced a fairly tight draw. Fortunately the pitfalls of one weren’t so overwhelming as to really create a detriment to the overall smoking experience. Being a Nicaraguan puro, we just expected and assumed that this would come with some spice, but both of us were pleasantly surprised when the spice took a supporting role and wasn’t the feature act. This cigar is smooth, creamy, tangy, and sweet, offering up a very “cubanesque” type feel. $8.00 is what you will pay for this cigar, which in our opinion makes it a steal. We also feel there are no palate restrictions here and can very much be enjoyed by all.
