Admittedly it's been a long time since we have smoked anything from My Father (Specifically My Father branded), so we are glad our welcome back party was with the La Gran Oferta. One thing to note but certainly not a shocker, is how well these cigars are constructed. It gets an intentional mention because of how it relates to such a fantastic burn. The draw on this cigar was as perfect as it comes, making the smoking experience a real delight. The flavor of this cigar for us was good but not great. We really think the subtlety of the Ecuadorian wrapper helped enhance a fairly typical nicaraguan filler blend but not enough to make this cigar really stand out. Coming in at $8.00 a cigar we think it is very fairly priced for what you get in terms of an overall smoking experience. If you are a traditional Nic fan, you would likely pay a little more.

You can get your hands on this cigar for just around $8.00 which makes it a pretty damn good deal. There isn’t anything challenging about this cigar, so in terms of recommendation, but really feel there are some out there that may find this cigar to not be in their wheelhouse. If you do grab one, do yourself a favor… Drink it in the morning with a good cup of coffee. You won't regret it.
It all began from a very humble beginning when Jose Pepin Garcia and his family established a very small cigar factory in Little Havana in 2003. Jose Pepin Garcia could not have imagined at that moment that his love and passion for cigars would help him to build one of the most recognized companies in the cigar industry. His companies have become synonymous with highly rated and well-distinguished brands.
