Farce pre-release by Room 101

The name is misleading. This cigar is no joke.

Holy Moly this has  been a long time coming. Although I have smoked plenty of Room 101 cigars, I haven't actually reviewed any until now, and what better to review than the Farce Pre-release?! First off can we just appreciate this Vitola? How about a moment of silence for the perfection of a Lonsdale... I'll wait… Okay! This cigar is not only visually satisfying for its construction, but more so its construction for the size. Thinner ring gauge cigars always have inherent challenges, but this one would leave you to believe that it ain't no thang to build this bad boy.

Surprisingly I had relatively no challenges with the burn, not even one dead pocket which you could surely anticipate on 6 plus inch cigar. The draw started off a bit tight but loosened up very quickly, allowing for not only ease but also producing wonderful plumes of thick smoke.

The flavors in this cigar were very conspicuous. It was like a 7 course meal rolled up into an hour and a half of smoking splendor. The sweet and spice of the Pennsylvania fillers offer up a balance and compliment to this cigar that I am not sure was 100% intentional do the degree of the awesomeness it expressed, but I really don’t care. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.

The price of admission comes in at about $10.50 a stick, which is completely appropriate for this cigar. I will say (only as assumption and not based on experience) that I can’t imagine one of its counterparts being better. I feel like this blend was made for this vitola and visa versa.

Room101 Cigars was founded in 2009 with the intent to honor the craft and rich history of cigar making whilst applying a progressive approach to both blending and product design. From its inception, the Room101 brand quickly garnered the respect and intrigue of cigar traditionalists as well as a newer breed of enthusiasts in the early stages of what was to become an era of “boutique” brands.
