Crowned Heads will be joining a list of premium cigar companies, including Padrón, Arturo Fuente, Tatuaje and Rocky Patel, in releasing a cigar available exclusively to attendees of the PCA 2021 Convention and Trade Show.
The Crowned Heads PCA 2021 exclusive release will be an all-new marca called, Le Pâtissier. Pâtissier translates to 'pastry chef,' and the blend was inspired by the Crowned Heads brand, Le Carême, which took its inspiration from the French chef Marie-Antoine Carême. "When we were approached to do a PCA 2021 exclusive we wanted to bring something special to the show," commented Crowned Heads co-founder, Jon Huber. "Pâtissier is an amazing expression of Connecticut Broadleaf that exudes a unique combination of complexity, finesse and balance. We've produced broadleaf-based blends with three other factories to this point; however, Pâtissier brings a different dimension to the profile that makes it stand on its own."
Le Pâtissier is a 6 1/2" x 44 parejo that is comprised of a Nicaraguan (Jalapa) binder, filler tobaccos from Costa Rica and Nicaragua (Pueblo Nuevo and Ometepe), and is finished with a Grade A Dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Packaged in 20-count cabinet boxes, Le Pâtissier will have a suggested retail price of $10.50 per cigar. Le Pâtissier is manufactured at Tabacalera Pichardo in Esteli, Nicaragua, makers of Crowned Heads brands that include Juárez, and Mil Días.
