The Breakdown
Ventura Cigar and Drew Estate came together in 2017 to create the Archetype which was intended to be symbolic of the connection between our conscious and subconscious. To me it’s a bit deep a cryptic and in the words of Forrest Gump “Now I don't know anything about that”. What I do know, is this cigar is produced in a wonderful way. The pieces that some manufactures tend to take a lazy approach on or rush through during the rolling process, in this cigar it was clear that they spent the time assuring perfection. All of this was directly related to the outstanding burn and draw of this smoke. The flavors start off fairly stagnant, but open up quickly becoming very bright, tangy, and balanced, which I personally appreciate. It is dynamic yet uniform, which is everything you could ask for in a cigar. Coming in at $10.50 each for this cigar, its seemingly pretty steep at first glance, but it’s an experience that surely won't disappoint, making it worth every penny.
